Socks and the great outdoors

Here's how that first sock is coming along...
Yep, it looks sort of day-glow out in the sun, but it's really a nice
red. I'm not loving the simplified heel, but I sure do like it as a
friend and I'll finish the toe in the same manner ... sooner or later.
